Nancy graduated with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy in 2013 from Queen’s University. Although originally from Newfoundland, Nancy has worked across the country as a Physiotherapist (Newfoundland, Ontario, Alberta, Yukon Territory and BC). After graduating, she has taken several courses to expand her skill set including: Level 3s in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, concussion rehab, dry needling and exercise prescription. She is currently working on her acupuncture accreditation and should be completed by the winter. Nancy’s in-clinic experience has involved treating a variety of conditions related to sport injuries, MVA, workplace injuries, home treatment for those unable to go to the clinic, concussions and more.
Nancy takes an individual approach to each injury, whether acute or chronic, to both heal the current and prevent future pain/injury. Combining techniques of hands on treatment, education and exercise with lifestyle and a person’s individual environment, Nancy works with clients to help them reach their goals.
In her spare time, Nancy can be found rock/ice climbing, skiing, trail running, fishing and, more recently, mountain biking. She also enjoys down time camping with her dogs or playing her piano. Golden has been able to provide her with both a peaceful and adventurous lifestyle to settle into.
