Physiotherapist
M.PT, B.Kin
Mike takes an active, evidence-based approach to physiotherapy, staying up to date with the latest research to deliver effective care.
He specializes in helping individuals achieve sports performance goals, drawing on his background as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to integrate targeted strength and conditioning into rehabilitation plans.
Mike also has a strong interest in treating persistent pain conditions. He uses modern, evidence-based techniques—such as Cognitive Functional Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), graded exposure, and narrative restructuring—to help patients rebuild confidence, gradually regain movement, and return to the activities that matter most.
Mike works collaboratively with his patients, tailoring treatment plans to their goals and lifestyles, whether they’re recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, or striving for optimal performance.
He earned his Master of Physiotherapy degree from The University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, and his Bachelor of Kinesiology from Brock University, where he competed as part of the varsity rowing team—an experience that shaped his passion for sports performance and recovery.
Outside the clinic, Mike enjoys all the outdoor activities Golden has to offer, including snowboarding, climbing, and backpacking.
